Larry D. Proper

PROper Cutter was founded on January 15, 1974 by Larry D. Proper and consisted of a couple manual tool & cutter grinding machines housed in a two stall garage at the family residence. The business grew quickly, resulting in the need to move the operation to its current location in the early 1980’s.

 The years since were filled with numerous expansion projects that included investments in additional equipment as well as the hiring of talented and career-minded employees. In 1995, the first CNC tool & cutter grinder was installed to compliment an already extensive equipment list.  As carbide tooling became more prevalent and complex, additional CNC machines were added to increase both capability and capacity. 

2024 marked the 50th Anniversary of PROper Cutter being in business.
